Normally, when I find that someone has taken tools out of the toolbox at work, I'm incredibly overjoyed, not only do get to spend time out of my busy day looking for them, that ultimately means I have to borrow the tools I need from a different press, and by borrow, I mean the kind of borrowing that they don't know about, not that I like stealing their tools, it's just easier that way.

So, in order to achive this witnessless borrowing, I usually duck through a section of the press, between the dryer and the units, this time around the path was blocked, someone from maitnence had left an access panel open along with various other things, blocking my path. So I just ducked through a smaller opening directly next to the blocked one. I got out on the other side, quickly grabbed the tools I needed, and started back through the unit, something caught my eye. Something on the catwalk, I don't remember exactly what it was, but I was distracted, and then…

Ouch.

Actually, let's get some backstory on a previous injury that brings the aftermath of this one into perspective. I was 16, In Boy Scouts, away from adult supervision, I had the incredible fortune to participate in an event called Stickwars where we divide into teams, and throw sticks at each other. Yeah, surprisingly, I got hurt. A stick directly impacted my left eye, I closed it just in time, but the pressure from the impact created lacerations in the back of my eye, where all the little cones and rods are. I also went heavily into shock, freezing cold, sleepy, my system didn't like that I suppose.

Most of that is healed now, I do have a small spot of distorted vision in that eye, at two feet from this screen, the word "small" looks like a grey smudge, yet with both eyes open, I see normally.

But back to smashing my head on a box.

Fireworks were going off in my left eye the moment my skull impacted the steel box suspended on the far side of the unit. I distinctly felt a small amount of shock after I crawled out of there, next thing I could notice was blood, I tried to shake everything off, and walked over to a mirror, yup, I was bleeding a little, but it was just a scrape on the top left side of my head, about three inches across.

I didn't really want to go to the hospital, at that time, I just thought I was overreacting, I just scraped my head pretty hard. But after that, walking around and trying to work was almost like I was drunk, my body felt disconnected from my mind. There was an abnormal amount of pain behind my left eye, most likely triggered by the shock. I actually sat down for a minute, and fell asleep the next, as I'm told, those are the symptoms for a mild concussion, yeah, probably not good.

I seem to be okay now though, I wish I had been playing Brain Age in the time leading up to and after that event, it'd be interesting to see my statistics.

Hey :)

I'm sure someone's already pointed it out or you've seen it for yourself, but the Spider-man 3 poster has Peter wearing 'venom'. Looks like you're getting your way afterall! Not that I mind, hehe.

Just head over here for a look.
Very interesting, I wasn't sure at first, (I thought the lighting just might have been dark, plus no giant white logo) I was googling around and IMDB [link] seems to have a plot summary confirming Venom and such, I suppose we'll get to see Venospidey vs. Harry the Goblin, aaaawesome :D

thanks for the heads up.
